Louise Messenger Swingtet at The Brink
October 16 @ 8:00 am - 11:30 pm£8.00
Louise Messenger is an Australian born jazz vocalist, who loves all things swing. Her greatest influences are Carmen McRae, Anita O’Day, Ella Fitzgerald, Keely Smith and the Boswell Sisters.
Her ensemble “The Louise Messenger Swingtet” is a collective of London’s top musicians who have captured the heart of the jazz scene with their mixture of classic standards, and lesser known songs brought back to life from the Great American Songbook and Tin Pan Alley.
With a dynamic and smoky voice, Louise loves to entertain and connect with her audiences. An avid swing dancer herself, she loves to sing for dancers as well as jazz lovers, and can most often be found on stage completely unable to stand still!
